Inspired by the No Looking Back Beret, this is a relatively simple and cheap diy for a very cute and unique hat. All items needed can easily be thrifted or bought at a craft store, but I'm referencing items that can be bought online.
Items needed:
- black beret
- black thick ribbon
- white fabric paint
- fabric glue or super glue of some sort
or
Once all the bits are bought, first measure the length of the beret and cut the ribbon to length with desired overhang. Don't go too tight or the bow isn't going to look very nice. Pro tip: leave extra excess on one end of the beret and glue the ribbon as you go along to get an accurate length. Second, using an eyeliner pencil or chalk, sketch out the face you're going to make. Or free hand it, the world is yours! Third, paint the face of your dreams. ☺ Be sure to follow the packaged instructions to make sure the paint dries correctly. Note: if you're feeling spicy, the face can always be embroidered on like the original. Consult Youtube for tips and tricks on quick embroidery.
- white thread & a needle
